1  TINA / Schematic Editor / Small bug in Export Gerber file dialog box on: December 30, 2017, 12:35:22 PM

Not a big deal, but ...
In Tina PCB, the export gerber file dialog shows additional nonsensical entries on the "save as type" drop-down box.

2  TINA / Analysis / Re: mcp2515 switch mixed example doesn't simulate on: December 25, 2017, 12:50:57 AM
Just a quick FYI: The MCP2515 model still seems to be non-functional in the 11.2 release (it used to work in Tina 10 - digital simulation only).

3  TINA / Analysis / Re: Arduino not found... on: December 22, 2017, 09:13:14 AM

I solved the issue!

Apparently, there was an additional Arduino15 directory under /users/xxx/App Data/Local (in addition to  /users/xxx/App Data/Roaming/Arduino).
BOTH of these directories had to be deleted before Tina would properly recognize the installed Arduino package.

4  TINA / Analysis / Arduino not found... on: December 21, 2017, 11:23:23 PM

I am trying to run some of the new Arduino examples. I currently have the latest arduino (1.8.5) installed.
However, when I try to "make" some of the new projects frin withing the Tina C Project IDE, I am getting an error that Arduino is not installed. That same dialog provides some basic information for how to install arduino. Even after uninstalling arduino and following the provided steps, I am still getting the same error (arduino not found).

Any thoughts?

5  TINA / Analysis / New Infineon Motor control and drives examples do not simulate on: December 18, 2017, 04:40:35 PM

It appears that the new Motor control and drives examples (under the Infineon examples folder) are throwing an error for missing SPICE models when I try to simulate them. (Tina v11.2)

6  General / General Discussion / Re: Tina 11.2 Update on: December 18, 2017, 04:15:03 PM
Thank you Horvath.

Well, I can't seem to locate any examples for the new IoT functionality for example.

How do I get the update installer again? Once the update is run, there is no option to run it again... Is there any other method to download the update installer separately?

7  General / General Discussion / Tina 11.2 Update on: December 16, 2017, 03:12:05 PM
Hi there,

Thank you for the nice 11.2 update to Tina.

As I look over the new features of 11.2, I noticed that some of the mentioned examples are missing (or I'm just not able to locate them). More specifically, I noticed that the new Arduino and IoT examples don't seem to be anywhere, could you please help provide the location to look?. As I watch the new features video, I also notice other example designs that I have a feeling are missing from the installed update as well. Can you please verify that all the new feature demo designs are indeed included in the update package? Finally, is doing a "repair" still the correct way to perform the update, or you'd recommend a "new" install instead?

Again, thank you for this very nice Holiday present,

Well, it seems that DesignSoft has listened as the latest update (v11.1) actually allows to "turn off" the components on the 3D PCB rendering!

9  TINA / Analysis / Re: mcp2515 switch mixed example doesn't simulate on: July 25, 2017, 06:43:07 PM
Hi Chris.

Yes, I hear you.

There is tremendous value to some of the most recent features that TINA has introduced (for example Verilog-AMS and SystemC). However, it seems that in some cases even basic functionality can be questionable. In any case, I am not a perfectionist by any means and ANY kind of workaround would make me happy, but I need a tool that can be reliable and predictable!

Besides Proteus and a little bit Multisim (before the NI days), nobody else even comes close to the simulation capabilities that TINA "promises". However, making it work can be a challenge. I am convinced that in some cases it is just a matter of better documentation, which in theory, should be a relatively easy thing to do.

In any case, I applaud the effort and plan to stick with TINA for a while!

10  TINA / Analysis / Re: mcp2515 switch mixed example doesn't simulate on: July 25, 2017, 01:01:05 PM

As a reminder this issue remains unresolved. It seems that with the latest update, both the "mcp2515 switch" and "mcp2515 switch mixed" examples (under the Microcontrollers/PIC directory) are now not functioning.

Thank you for looking into this.

11  TINA / Customers' Wish List / Easier panning on: July 09, 2017, 03:14:26 PM
Is there any other method to pan around the schematic or PCB besides using the scroll bars?
It would be nice if there was a "panning" mode for the mouse. It could be activated either by holding down a specific key or mouse button while dragging around the schematic sheet or board ...

Thank you.

Thank you for implementing this request! :-)
13  TINA / Analysis / Re: VHDL vector on: June 01, 2017, 10:19:54 AM
I wonder if this is related to the fact that viewing busses in diagrams also only brings the first output as well.
Is this tracked as an open issue?
14  TINA / Analysis / Re: Sum of powers wrong on: May 18, 2017, 09:49:19 AM
It seems that you have two additional sources of energy that you are not accounting for.
The signal generator in the input, as well as, the additional 4.2V source.
15  General / General Discussion / Latest Tina 11 update on: May 08, 2017, 06:17:43 PM
Hi there,

I noticed that there is an update available for Tina 11 (version
However, I cannot seem to find any release notes regarding what's changed in this update.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!
